Tim Spidel
Managing Partner
Prior to founding Spidel Burnfin in 2007, Tim spent 11 years with the international search firm of SBR, working in their Nashville and Chicago offices. Tim has run a successful desk in the wealth management industry since he began in this profession in 1996.
He represents companies that include single family offices, multi-family office groups, fee-based Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and investment management firms. Although Spidel Burnfin is based in the Midwest, the firm serves clients nationwide. Tim is an active member of IRSA (International Retained Search Association), Family Wealth Alliance, UHNW Institute and is a regular attendee at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.
Tim grew up in the small town of Kendallville, Indiana, before attending Indiana University where he graduated with a degree in Health Administration. After spending some wonderful years living in Nashville and Chicago, Tim and his family moved to the Indianapolis area. Tim, his wife and their three children currently reside in Carmel, IN with their dog, Theo.
When he isn’t recruiting, you’ll find him volunteering with the wonderful Indianapolis-based charity Dayspring Center, seeing live music, supporting his Chicago Cubs and Bears teams and spending time with family. Tim is also an aficionado when it comes to 80's music (particularly the "hair" bands")!
Scott Tonsoni
Principal
Prior to joining Spidel Burnfin, Scott spent 29 years building a search practice focused in Corporate Finance and Financial Services. First as a Partner with the international search firm SBR, then building and managing his own practice Christian|Ryan Executive Search. During this time he helped his clients identify and attract over 500 professionals to their businesses.
Scott represents companies that include single family offices, multi-family office groups, fee-based Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and investment management firms. He serves clients nationwide.
Scott grew-up in the small town of Lockport, NY before attending Indiana University with a degree in Sociology. Scott and his family live in Nashville, TN.
When he isn’t recruiting you’ll find him running, playing soccer, shuttling his kids to their various extracurriculars, supporting his Buffalo Bills/Sabres and Indiana Hoosiers, and trying to take full advantage of the Nashville music scene.
Lilly Gallagher
Research Associate
Lilly is a dedicated research associate specializing in wealth management executive recruitment searches at Spidel Burnfin.
Before joining Spidel Burnfin, Lilly earned her degree in psychology from Indiana University, where she gained valuable insights into human behavior, decision-making processes, and interpersonal dynamics.
Growing up in Carmel, Indiana, Lilly developed a strong passion for learning and self-improvement that profoundly influences her current role as a research associate at Spidel Burnfin. Additionally, she enjoys contributing to volunteering efforts and fundraising for the Dayspring Center in Indianapolis!
